Major General Donald C. Hilbert in Williamsburg to recognize The Carter Society's Armed Forces

The Carter Society - Descendants of Colonial Virginians - will be in Williamsburg-Jamestown September 21-25, 2016 for their Annual Meeting and Reunion. This year marks the 15th Anniversary of the Society.
On September 22, the Society will be hosting a dinner at the Season's Restaurant in Williamsburg. They will be honoring those of The Carter Society who have and still are serving in our Armed Forces. Present this evening will be Major General Donald C. Hilbert, a member of the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration Committee from Arlington, Virginia. Major General Hilbert will be presenting Certificates and Commemorative lapel pins to those of The Carter Society military. This program is in conjunction with the Betsey Hager Chapter (NSDAR) National Society Daughters of the American Revolution who will provide the certificates.The pins are inscribed with the message, "A Grateful Nation Thanks and Honors You", which is embossed on the back, closest to the heart of the wearer along with the Commemorations name. Those members present will as well receive a Carter Society Recognition Certificate and a 2016 coin, a Tribute to our U.S. Armed Forces.
