Marv Evans of Xactec earns top internationally recognized industry certification

Xactec emerges as a leader in low voltage construction services after earning the industry's premier internationally recognized low voltage design certification. Marv Evans, Xactec President, received the designation of Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) from the Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) last month. Only two other low voltage contractors on the Hampton Roads Peninsula hold the RCDD designation.

Xactec's leadership is further enhanced with the addition of Marcin Lada, a structured cabling engineer with over 10 years experience in the Metropolitan New York market. The business-to-business company, based in Williamsburg, Va., designs, installs, and maintains commercial video surveillance, telephone, computer networking, audio/visual, access control, keyless entry, burglar alarms and structured cabling systems.

"Our roots are in computer networking and as business technologies merge onto the network, Xactec ensures they complement each other rather than compete," said Evans. "Marcin's extensive experience in very demanding markets, combined with my RCDD certification, guarantees that our solutions are second to none in design and delivery." To learn more, visit
