MARY POPPINS SPOTTED IN WILLIAMSBURG

The Williamsburg community has been buzzing after a recent spotting of Mary Poppins. Word on the street is that she flew in this past weekend and has been seen throughout the Williamsburg area creating quite the excitement among fans young and old.

For those interested in seeing Mary Poppins in person and perhaps grabbing a photo or autograph, all are invited to attend Lafayette High School's production of MARY POPPINS April 18-21.

The timing of Lafayette High School's production couldn't be better given Disney's recent surprise movie trailer debut of Mary Poppins Returns at the 2018 Oscars. The highly-anticipated sequel to the 1964 movie classic will arrive in December and will feature an all-star cast including Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep and Lin-Manuel Miranda. But Mary Poppins fans don't have to wait until December as Lafayette High Schools' live stage production featuring all the classic characters will open next week! "We are simply delighted to bring this beloved family oriented musical to the community.", commented Suzan McCorry, LHS Theatre Director, "We have been overwhelmed with an outpouring of excitement and well wishes from people of all ages as they anticipate our production of Mary Poppins."

Tickets are on sale now! The production is significant with over 85 cast, crew and pit band members so this is one you don't want to miss. Folks are encouraged to call or email "spit spot" to purchase tickets and secure the best available seats as the production is expected to sell out.
