NARFE Chapter 685 Participates in Alzheimer’s Walk

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association actively supports Alzheimer's research. Once again, NARFE Chapter 685 members participated in the Walk To END Alzheimer's in Williamsburg.

Since 1985, NARFE members have contributed more than $12 million to the Alzheimer's Association, providing research dollars to find a cure. Our nationwide NARFE goal is to reach $13 million by 2018.

Locally, Chapter 685 members contribute to Alzheimer's research during our monthly luncheons and at other chapter events. Our luncheons feature outstanding guest speakers and brief, but salient discussions of federal benefits and pay issues. In addition, we routinely "pass the hat" to collect money for Alzheimer's research.

With 45 other NARFE chapters and 15,500 members in Virginia alone, these donations for Alzheimer's research continue to accumulate for this good cause.

If you are an active or retired federal civilian employee interested in joining our Chapter, contact Jeff Fratter, Chapter President, at jeff.fratter@gmail.com or Tom Kell, Membership Chair, at twkell@aol.com.
