The local chapter 685 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association participated in the recent Alzheimer's Walk in Williamsburg.
NARFE is a national "membership" organization, not a union, dedicated to protecting the earned benefits of federal employees and annuitants. NARFE members are significant contributors to Alzheimer's research, raising a total of nearly $12 million dollars to date. This past year, NARFE Virginia chapters raised the most money for Alzheimer's research, among all chapters nationwide. During the last fiscal year Virginia chapters raised over $63,000.
Our local chapter is proud to be part of developing a solution, through research funding, to treat and ultimately prevent Alzheimer's disease.
Our organizational slogan is "NARFE: The 'E' is silent, but we are not." If you are a federal employee or retiree, and are interested in becoming a chapter member, contact email@example.com.
