New Irish Dance Studio Opens in Williamsburg & Yorktown

February 8, 2017 (Williamsburg, VA) - Williamsburg resident Kathy Nelson is proud to announce the opening of her new dance studio, Rose & Sword Academy of Irish Dance. With locations in Williamsburg and Yorktown, Rose & Sword Academy of Irish Dance is a member of the World Irish Dance Association (WIDA). Ms. Nelson is a certified Irish Dance Teacher (TCRG) through WIDA.

Rose & Sword Academy started operations in January, 2017, and Ms. Nelson has been teaching Irish dance in the Williamsburg and Yorktown area for over 14 years. She is happy to welcome to her staff Isabelle Hollingsworth, a champion Irish dancer who has also performed in professional Irish dance shows.

Rose & Sword Academy offers Irish dance classes for students ages 3 to adult, at times convenient for homeschool and public school families. Rose & Sword also welcomes adults interested in learning Irish dance. The studio performs at Williamsburg's 2nd Sundays on a regular basis in addition to performing at area independent living & retirement communities, and other community venues. Dancers may also compete through WIDA at regional, national and international competitions.

Rose & Sword Academy will be holding an open house and free Irish dance class at their Yorktown location from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 24, 2017, with the free class offered from 7-7:30 pm.
