New Leaders for Local Coast Guard Auxiliary

The Williamsburg Flotilla of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary has elected new leaders. Robert Williams will assume the role of Flotilla Commander and David Gamble will become Vice Flotilla Commander. The Auxiliary offers its nation-wide membership of 30,000 volunteers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in their local community through many missions. The Auxiliary promotes recreational boating safety through public safety boating education classes, free vessel safety checks to boaters, and outreach to the boating public. Qualified Auxiliarists also perform regular safety patrol missions in the local area. In addition, the Auxiliary works side-by-side with their active-duty U.S. Coast Guard counterparts in many other mission areas to enhance safety and security of our ports, waterways, and coastal regions. For more information about the Auxiliary, contact the Williamsburg Flotilla Commander at fc@flotilla67.us.
