Nutcracker Raffel benefits the Care Fund at The HHS

January 13, 2017 Doug and Doris Bryant proudly donated $1400 to the Care Fund benefiting the Heritage Humane Society located on Waller Mill Road in Williamsburg, Virginia. The funds were generated from Victoria's Restaurant's Third Annual "Great Nutcracker Raffle" and their ongoing "Paws for a Cause Fund". The raffle runs the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. All participants donated $1.00 per entry. They may purchase as many entries as they wish...several offering donations specifying "No entry forms please!"
The winners of the raffle drawing this year were William Carrion and Heather Phillips. The winners were excited to help the shelter with their entries…and felt rewarded when they received the calls that they had won. Ironically both winners were involved with their pets at the time. They had to adjust their schedules to be able claim their prizes.
Historically Victoria's displays numerous nutcrackers throughout the holiday season. The collection is owned by the Bryants. Doris felt the energy created by the display could be turned into something positive for the animals. Their restaurant is named for a beloved pet they adopted years ago from the shelter…their forever friend Holly Victoria. The Bryants are grateful for the hard work of all involved with the care and rescue of the animals. They understand the tremendous need for The Heritage Humane Society. The Bryants and their staff wish to thank all who entered the raffle this year. Your kindness and generosity is so appreciated.
