One Shot Turkey Hunt essay contest winner

The Virginia One Shot Turkey hunt is a fundraising event that benefits the Wildlife Foundation of Virginia and the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. This year a kids essay contest was offered. To enter, kids had to write an essay on the topic "What does hunting mean to me?". The contest was open to youth ages 15 and under.

Owen Whitehead's winning essay is attached. Owen will receive a free guided hunt during the One Shot Turkey Hunt event, he also will be awarded a lifetime hunting license!

Ten year old Owen was the youngest winner. He lives in Williamsburg, VA and is a fourth grader at J B Blayton Elementary School
