Parishioners at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Williamsburg, were delighted to find tables full of masks and beads to help them celebrate Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras style. Over 30 parishioners from 13 to 65 planned and worked the Pancake Supper on February 28. Vanilla pancakes, turkey sausage, cinnamon apples and peaches, as well as coffee, tea, and lemonade were served to over 150 people during this yearly event.
The Pancake Flip, Eggo Waffle Toss, and the ever popular Cake Walk entertained one and all. Zydeco music played throughout the evening.
The proceeds from this very successful evening will benefit the St. Martin's Youth programs, particularly the J2A (Journey to Adulthood) pilgrimage trip.
