Harris Bucklin, who is a volunteer with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, spoke to the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Capital recently about their organization which is dedicated to the physical and psychological rehabilitation of veterans with disabilities through the therapeutic benefits of fly fishing. Their activities are coordinated with military and hospital staff and all services are provided without cost. In contrast to the traumatic experience of warfare, fly fishing embraces a calm pursuit in a natural environment. Pictured above are Club member Jack Snell, Bucklin, and Club President Larry Shoberg.
