The Ignition business accelerator (ignitioncenter.com) is hosting the program, Quick Start Guide to Starting a Successful Business: Intellectual Property and Business Formation, on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at 5:30 PM, in their offices at 1006 Richmond Road (3rd floor of the Wells Fargo bank building).
The Quick Start program is designed to aid startups and existing businesses to navigate intellectual property law and business formation. The event will be headlined by local attorneys Peter Van Bergen and John Probst. Mr. Van Bergen is a local intellectual property (IP) attorney whose practice focuses on patent, trademark, and copyright matters, while Mr. Probst is a local attorney whose practice focuses on business formation and corporate structuring matters.
Over the years, Van Bergen and Probst have worked closely with mutual clients. Regardless of their size or business aspirations, all start-up businesses have IP and business formation/structure issues. Recognizing these issues and addressing them early on is part of any successful business. The Quick Start program will introduce the issues and tools needed to recognize these important concepts. A question and answer period will follow the presentations by Van Bergen and Probst. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Tim Yewcic at Ignition (email@example.com), Peter Van Bergen (757-220-2649), or John Probst (757-259-2000).
