Rebecca Davy will be taking over as Director of the Williamsburg Women's Chorus for the 2016-2017 season. The Chorus will resume rehearsals in September for their Winter Concert under Mrs. Davy's knowledgeable direction.
Mrs. Davy has a Bachelors of Music degree from the University of Puget Sound and Two Masters degrees in Music from University of Southern California in both organ performance and music history. She has served as Music Director and Organist for the Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg, Virginia since 2004 and plays more than forty concerts a year as part of the Candlelight Concert Series offered at Bruton Parish.
Mrs. Davy will bring with her as director not only her vast knowledge and talent but a unique perspective having sung with both the Chorus itself and the Choraliers ensemble in previous seasons. She has also served as Assistant Director for the Chorus directing pieces for their concerts including their 2015 Winter Concert.
The Chorus is overjoyed to have her as their Director for this upcoming season and looks forward to working with such a talented director and musician.
