Struggling with loss, loneliness, fear, regret, grief? Join us for a service to acknowledge reality and move toward hope.
Respite of WUMC, Kay Barre, Associate Pastor, Helen Casey-Rutland, Congregational Care Pastor, and Lou-Anne Smith, Music Director invite all Williamsburg area caregivers of seniors to join in fellowship for a service of replenishment and hope (with communion offered) on Tuesday, May 24, 11am-12noon in the Williamsburg United Methodist Church Sanctuary, 500 Jamestown Road.
Senior loved ones may join you at the service, or if you prefer, you may bring them to Respite on the lower level of WUMC at 11am while you attend the service alone. After the service at 12noon, pick your loved one up at Respite and there will be no charge. If your loved one is a Respite member and has a reservation at Respite on Tuesday, May 24, simply return for your loved one at the end of the day.
Visit the Respite Open House prior to the service from 10-10:45am. Respite of WUMC, founded in 2001, engages seniors in a stimulating, safe, social afternoon program with music, art, exercise, education, and conversation, while their caregivers can take a few hours for themselves.
Enjoy light refreshments after the service.
To reserve a seat at Respite during the service, contact Carolyn Yowell, Respite Director, by Friday, May 20 email@example.com or 229-1771 ext 354; space is limited.
