Respite Welcomes New Board Members

Respite Care of Williamsburg United Methodist Church welcomed four (4) new board members in January 2016, including (seated l to r): Deacon Francis Roettinger, Vince Sutlive, Nancy Ward, Dave Cochran. Returning board members include (second row l to r): Rev Kay Barre (WUMC Associate Pastor), Ruth Simpson, Marijane Harper (new Board Chair), Carolyn Yowell (Director), Phyllis Lee (Secretary); and (third row l to r) Trish Kline, Jan Boykin, Joe Meadows (WUMC Business Manager), and Ed Golden (Board Vice-Chair). Respite offers a stimulating social afternoon for seniors with special needs, allowing their family care partners time for replenishment. Respite began in 2001 and now provides approximately 230 visits/month to over 100 families/year from the Williamsburg/JCC area. For more information, call 229-1771.
