Rotary Club of James City County announces the 2016 Charity Concert schedule

The Rotary club of James City County has announced their 7th Annual Concert Series for 2016. Steve Menaquale, Concert Chairman, and the Rotary Club are excited to be able to bring the best local and regional talent to the Kimball Theatre. All concerts will be on a Saturday night starting at 7:30pm. Proceeds will benefit the many charities in and around the Williamsburg area that are supported by the Rotary Foundation.

The series starts on April 2nd with Bobby Blackhat Walters. Bobby BlackHat brings together the finest blues musicians in Hampton Roads to perform classic, modern, as well as original blues tunes that will keep your toes tappin and your hips shakin all night long.

The second concert is June 18th with the Chisman Creek Band. Chisman Creek Band flows in many musical directions, blending traditional and contemporary bluegrass, classic rock, modern hits, and original songs to create its own unique and impressive style.

Code Blue returns on July 30th with their high energy bluegrass. They guarantee to entertain with everything from bluegrass music to doing their own arrangements their way. Code Blue puts in the hard work and individual experience to provide the best sound so they can please every age group.

Soundworks, Men who sing will be featured on September 3rd. Champions of the 2012 a capella sing off at Busch gardens, the ensemble unleashes the power and resonance of the unaccompanied male voice in musical genres that encompass classical, pop, barbershop, blues, spiritual, rock, jazz and even the occasional, downright silly!

The final performance on November 12th features the Williamsburg Classic Swing Orchestra. WCSO is a 16 piece authentic swing band playing all the best swing music from the height of the swing era, the 30's and 40's, as well as pieces from contemporary big band composers and arrangers.

Tickets for the entire 5 concert series are available for $75.00 and can be purchased directly from Steve Menaquale by calling 757-753-5577 or any JCC Rotary Club member. Individual performance tickets are also available from the Rotary Club or can be purchased from the Kimball Theatre box office for $18.00. Menaquale states, "There's no better way in Williamsburg to enjoy a Saturday evening of great music and also help the local charities supported by the Rotary Club of JCC Foundation."
