Rotary recognized our community charity organizations

The Williamsburg Rotary Foundation grantees were recognized at our recent club meeting. The club the club's distributed grants to 14 local NFP organizations amounting to $10,000 total to non-profits this year plus $5,000 in local high school college scholarships. Since 1997, the Williamsburg Rotary club donated over $138,000 to various organizations in our community. Front row attending our club meeting were Kim Dallinger (Bacon Street), Danielle Cauley (Postpartum Williamsburg) Lillian Woolfolk and Jessica Innis (Latisha House). In the back row (l-r) are Carol Beers, our rotary club president), Kimberly Laska (Heritage Humane Society, Donald Reece (Boy Scout Troop 103), Pam McGregor (the ARC), Kerry Mellette (Hospice House) and Sibilla Dengs (Rotary club President-Elect).The following organizations were also awarded grants this year but were not in the photo this evening: Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Dream Catchers, Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department, Williamsburg House of Mercy, Child Development Resources, Sentara ( Mammograms for the Uninsured) , and Williamsburg Youth Baseball League.
