Sample a Taste of Culture, and make a donation to the National Museum

Receive a taste of God's Word during the 11 a.m. worship service this Sunday, Feb. 26, at St. John Baptist Church, then enjoy a Taste of Culture in the Fellowship Hall afterward. Members will share their favorite culinary delight representative of the African-American culture, as well as African artifacts. Pastor Walter Hudson will deliver the Word, and the Gospel Chorus will provide music reflective of Black History Month. Towana McKinney will welcome visitors, while portraying mathematician-computer scientist Katherine Johnson (from the movie "Hidden Figures.") In addition, a special collection will be lifted, with all donations going to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. This week's lesson is "Fruitful Living," from Galatians 5:18-26 and 6:1-10. St. John is at 1397 Penniman Rd., where everyone is welcome.
