SCHOOL CROSSING CELEBRATES NATIONAL PINK DAY BY SPONSORING BREAST CANCER AWARENESS FUNDRAISER

Williamsburg, VA (June 23, 2015) - School Crossing, an educational toy and teaching supply store , located in the Monticello Marketplace Shopping Center celebrated "National Pink Day" by sponsoring a women's breast cancer awareness fundraiser.

National Pink Day is observed annually on June 23rd. This day is set aside for the color pink and all it represents. Despite its popularity and established existence, there is no record found as to the origin and purpose of this colorful day. It has also been observed that this special day is observed to advance social and health issue awareness such as breast cancer.

In an effort to help advance breast cancer awareness, School Crossing will be collecting "Change for the Girls" beginning 6/23/15 through 7/23/15. All loose change that is collected will be donated to Beyond Boobs! of Williamsburg.

In 2006 a small group of young women with breast cancer came together in Williamsburg, Virginia and formed Beyond Boobs!. Beyond Boobs! is dedicated to healing and saving lives by supporting young women diagnosed with breast cancer while providing breast cancer health education for all.
