Scott Anderson, DVM Wins the Virginia Horse Council Veterinarian of the Year Award

Scott Anderson, DVM, owner of Woodside Equine Clinic, was recently presented with the Virginia Horse Council's Veterinarian of the Year Award. Dr. Anderson was recognized by the Virginia Horse Council for his 30 years of dedicated service as a well-respected veterinarian, and as owner of a state-of-the-art full service veterinary clinic with surgical and reproductive capacity, which provides emergency veterinary services 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Woodside Equine Clinic, located in Ashland, is an important resource for horse owners and professional horse programs located in not only the Richmond and Hampton Roads regions, but also Central Virginia, Fredericksburg, Middle Peninsula and the Northern Neck. For many years, Dr. Anderson has provided valuable education to horse owners, both amateurs and professionals, as a speaker and clinician. Dr. Anderson lives the mission of Woodside Equine Clinic, which is: "Our mission is to offer caring, professional service with a large array of diagnostic and treatment options in a customer oriented environment. We also strive to educate our clients therefore allowing them to make the best and most informed decisions for their horses." Dr. Anderson's specialty areas in veterinary medicine are: sports medicine, lameness, chiropractic and acupuncture.
