Second Street Transformed Into Nick's Seafood Pavilion to Launch The Mathews Society

On February 6, more than 100 guests gathered at Second Street, An American Bistro in Williamsburg, which owners John and Mickey Chohany transformed for the night into Nick's Seafood Pavilion. Guests at this exclusive Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, Inc., event enjoyed dishes from the menu of Nick and Mary Mathews' renowned Yorktown restaurant, re-created with the help of Jimmy and Ann Krikales.

Early in the evening, Phil Emerson, executive director of the Foundation, shared the story of Nick and Mary Mathews, Greek immigrants and patriots who are among the Foundation's first benefactors. Sue Gerdelman, immediate past president of the Foundation, Inc., announced the launch of The Mathews Society and recognized those who, like Nick and Mary Mathews, have remembered the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, Inc., in their estate plans.
