Shanti Garudasana, Yoga Teacher Training Provides Student Scholarships

WILLIAMSBURG, VA- February 21, 2017 - The 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training Program, Shanti Garudasana, will provide full program scholarships to 15 full-time William & Mary Students in the 2017-2018 academic year. Director Cindy Crace founded Shanti Garudasana in 2015, with the goal to develop lifelong role models and ambassadors for optimal yoga education and practice. This training allows students to obtain a yoga teacher certification and serve the W&M Community, the developing W&M Integrative Wellness Center, and the communities they serve in the future. In addition to training, Shanti Garudasana has brought wellness advocates to campus to educate the community on the benefits of mindfulness and yoga practice. While scholarships are available to W&M Students, this training opportunity is also open to non- William & Mary affiliates.
Shanti Garudasana is sponsored in part by the Department of Campus Recreation at the College of William & Mary. Campus Recreation provides health, wellness, and recreational opportunities to the campus community.
