The Peninsula Indivisible and Middle Peninsula Progressives will sponsor a Stand Up! Rally in Williamsburg, VA at Williamsburg Players, 200 Hubbard Lane on February 20th from 11am - 2pm. The purpose of the rally is to share information, highlight social and political issues that impact Hampton Roads communities, and solicit support for potential action items to combat current governmental actions we believe are dangerous to the survival of our cherished democracy. The event will consist of free live music and guest speakers. Some of the speakers include: Susan Platt - candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, Quena Dailey - Deputy Political Director for Tom Perriello - Virginia Governor candidate, Marklyn Louis with Planned Parenthood, Elly Boehmer with Environment Virginia, Josh Stanfield with Activate Virginia, CNU professor, Johnny Finn, and Jen Tierney with James City County Democrats. Musical acts include Carolyn August and The Lovecats.
The Peninsula Indivisible is a newly formed diverse group of very concerned like-minded local individuals who have organized to present unified resistance to efforts of the Trump Administration we feel will only further divide and endanger our nation.
