Stonehouse Elementary Teacher wins DAR Grant

At the December meeting, Glenda Wade, Committee Chair Mini-Teacher Grant, Williamsburg Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) announced that Sherry Mather, a special education teacher at Stonehouse Elementary, was the winner of this year's Mini-Grant. Sherry's project is "Special Education - Bridging the Gap in Reading." This $300 grant will provide resources to enhance and develop the reading and learning skills of students in grades 2 through 5. Chapter members selected the winner by reviewing applications from 6 area schools.
