Stonehouse Stables Excel at Year End Awards Banquet

The Capital Horse Shows Association held their year end awards banquet on January 16, 2016 at the Double Tree Hotel in Midlothian, VA, where Stonehouse Stables riders and their horses were recognized with six championships and numerous other awards. Stealing the limelight was Abigail Best and her pony In My Pocket. The pair were Champions in Pony Pleasure, Large Pony Hunter and CHSA Pony Equitation. In addition they received the Kerry B Simon Perpetual Trophy for highest scoring horse or pony in a division, the Farnley Monsoon perpetual trophy for the highest scoring pony from the pony divisions, and the Magic City trophy as winners of the Pony Classic. Aly Haynes-Traver and her horse Mount Olympus were Champions of Children's Adult Amateur Hunter and Children's Adult Amateur Equitation while Mandalay Bay, owned by Laura Rodriguez was the Adult Pleasure Horse Champion. The Happy Camper and Allie Marcotte placed third in Junior Pleasure Horse while Chris Snyder, riding Milestone, took 5th place; Olivia Batten and Farnley Good Samaritan placed 6th in both Children's Pony Equitation and Children's Pony Hunter; Rumor Has It and owner/rider Haley Roberts were Reserve Champions in Green Pony Hunter and placed 6th in Special Hunter as well as 4th in Small-Medium Pony Hunter; Cactus Pete and LuAnn Homza placed 5th in Special Hunter; Dietric, owned and ridden by Emily Roberson, placed 4th in Adult Amateur Hunter as well as 4th in CHSA Adult Equitation; Elise Roberson placed 5th in CHSA Junior Equitation; and fianally, Smart Cookie, owned by Stonehouse Stables and ridden by Alexis Nuzzo placed 6th in Thoroughbred Hunter. Congratulations to these riders, owners, horses and coaches on their well-deserved award winning performance.
