Stonehouse Stables Show Team Celebrates Successes

The Stonehouse Stables Show Team recently attended the Capital Horse Shows Association (CHSA) 2016 Awards Banquet, held on January 14th at the Double Tree Hotel in Midlothian, Virginia. This annual event again brought many awards, including the second straight year of Abigail Best's pony In My Pocket as the CHSA High Point Pony for the year. Championships were awarded to The Happy Camper, owned and ridden by Allie Marcotte in the Junior Pleasure Horse Division, In My Pocket and Olivia Batten in Special Hunter and in Large Pony Hunter, Olivia Batten for CHSA Pony Equitation and Junior Equitation on the Flat 14 and Under, Aly Haynes-Traver for Adult Amateur Equitation on the Flat, and Allie Marcotte for Junior Equitation on the Flat 15-17. Emily Roberson was awarded the Reserve Champion Ribbon in CHSA Adult Equitation. Other winners were Ashgrove, owned and ridden by Kate Keller (6th in Junior Pleasure Horse, 4th in Children's Adult Amateur Equitation and 5th in Children's Adult Amateur Hunter); Milestone, owned and ridden by Stacey Schneider (3rd in Adult Pleasure Horse and 3rd in Children's Adult Amateur Hunter), Out of the Box owned and ridden by Abigail Best (4th in Children's Hunter, 5th in Junior Amateur Schooling); Dietric, owned and Ridden by Emily Roberson (4th in Adult Amateur Hunter); The Happy Camper owned and ridden by Allie Marcotte (3rd in Special Hunter). Other results in Equitation divisions included Abigail Best 5th in Junior Equitation; Aly Haynes-Traver 3rd in Adult Equitation; and Audrey Snyder 3rd, Lu Ann Homza 5th and Stacey Schneider 6th in Adult Amateur Equitation on the Flat. Congratulations to trainers Tara Best and Karen Hogue on their team's many accomplishments for the 2016 CHSA horse show year.
