"Stop Hunger Now" on March 5 (For publication on Sat. Church Page)

Walnut Hills Baptist Church, 1014 Jamestown Road, will sponsor a "Stop Hunger Now" meal packing on Saturday, March 5 with sessions starting at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. The goal is to pack 30,000 meals in the 4 hour period. The assembly process combines rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and essential vitamins and minerals into small meal packages. Meals are shipped to developing countries to support school feeding programs, orphanages and crisis relief.. Meals packed last year at Walnut Hills Baptist were sent to a school in Haiti.
A pancake supper to help raise funds will be held this Sunday, Feb. 28 with seatings at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. To attend the supper, help with packing or donate funds, contact the church office at 220-5900.
