Mayor’s 2015 Beautification Awards Announced

Williamsburg, VA - At the October 8th City Council meeting, Mayor Clyde Haulman presented the 2015 Mayor's Beautification Awards. Recipients are groups and/or individuals who contribute to the City of Williamsburg through beautifying or improving the community environment. The categories and recipients are:
Business - Figaro Hair Studio, 104 Westover Avenue
Individual - Cary Carson, 308 Griffin Avenue
Institutions or neighborhoods - City of Williamsburg Landscape Division
Commercial Renovation - Daily Donut, 1425 Richmond Road
Non-Commercial Renovation - Bruton Parish Rectory, 314 Prince George St.
Residential Renovation - Gil Granger, G-Square, Inc., 520 Jamestown Road
The awards are part of the City's ongoing effort to protect and enhance its unique character and to maintain beautiful neighborhoods and communities. Members of the committee, appointed by Mayor Clyde Haulman, are: Robert Grossman, Nina Mustard and Leslie Bowie. Staff assistance is provided by Deputy Planning Director Carolyn Murphy.
