The City of Williamsburg Responds to Williamsburg Area Bicyclists' Waller Mill Trail Concerns

Waller Mill Park is known for both its beauty as well as the numerous activities the park provides for the Greater Williamsburg community. One of these activities includes a paved bike and pedestrian trail. Up until recently, this trail was in need of repair due to roots invading and compromising the trail's surface. After an accident involving two cyclists, Deana Sun, President of the Williamsburg Area Bicyclists, voiced the concerns of club members to City Manager, Marvin E. Collins, III. The city promptly responded with temporary repairs and visible safety markings for trail users. A more comprehensive restoration is planned for the upcoming months.
