WILLIAMSBURG, VA - The fourth Art in the 'Burg of 2016 will be kicking off from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 16, in the parking lot of Colonial Folk Art Studio & Gallery at 110 Bacon Ave., Williamsburg.
Featuring local artists, "the Art Fairs in the Art's District" is a non-juried art fair for both professional and beginning artists, including many artists who aren't showing in any other venues, sponsored by the Williamsburg Arts District Association (WADA).
Fairs are designed to bring artists from throughout the Greater Williamsburg area together with the art-loving public in the Williamsburg Arts District at the corner of Lafayette St. and Bacon Ave.
"So far, the response for Art in the 'Burg this year has been great," said event coordinator Davie Burgdorf. "We continue having a diverse group of fantastic artists for art lovers to see, enjoy and -hopefully buy - some of their creativity."
Artists registered for the next fairs are also diverse, Burgdorf said.
This year's schedule for Art in the 'Burg fairs is: July 16, Aug. 20, Sept. 17, Oct. 15 and Nov. 5.
The art fairs are always open to the public with free parking on Bacon Ave and. in the parking lots of sponsors Fleming's Gifts on Bacon Ave. and Chesapeake Bank on Lafayette.
As a not-for profit event, 100 percent of the $10 artist fee to goes into promoting the event.
