Virginia Youth Musical Ambassadors Tour Event At
Williamsburg Pottery

Members of Virginia Music Adventures (VMA), a non-profit group that promotes music education and the preservation of American jazz around the world through performances by exceptional young musicians, will engage in a four-day concert tour of Virginia from July 25-29, 2015. Tour cities include Richmond, Williamsburg, and Virginia Beach, with a final performance July 30 at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club.

During their Virginia tour, musicians from VMA's Summer Institute Ensembles will perform jazz classics from the swing era through contemporary jazz compositions. These 11 - 18 year old musicians from the greater Northern Virginia area regularly engage in cultural good will music performance tours, some coordinated with the US Department of State, and have delighted audiences around the world..

Virginia Music Adventures groups have been recognized by the Consul General of St. Petersburg, Russia, the Mayor of the province of Beyoglu, Istanbul, the Consul General of Istanbul, the City Council of the City of Los Angeles, the Ministry of Tourism of Nassau, The Bahamas, and the Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia.
