The Night Belongs to the Moths

On September 19th from 10:00am till 11:30am, come join us to learn about night-flying insects. Teta Kain, renowned insect expert and nature lover, will introduce to you those night-flying insects that she attracts with white sheets and floodlights. A vibrant speaker with wide knowledge of her subject, Teta will share many unusual stories about moths and their relatives. Teta's presentation, "The Night Belongs to the Moths," focuses on the many species of moths found right here in Virginia and she includes many surprising facts she has learned and strange adventures she has experienced while studying these interesting insects. She will delve into some of the good, bad, and mysterious aspects of moths that affect our lives. This presentation will be held at the Freedom Park Interpretive Center, beginning at 10:00 and is open to the public. The program is free. However, a donation of $5 to support the Williamsburg Botanical Garden at Freedom Park would be appreciated.
