It is with great excitement that Williamsburg Botanical Garden offers to our community the Second Annual Butterfly Festival! It will be held at the Williamsburg Botanical Gardens at Freedom Park on the weekend of August 6th and 7th, from 9:00-5:00 each day. Funding for this program has been made possible through the generous support of the Green Spring Garden Club, Inc. This festival has several parts, but the main and most exciting focus will be two butterfly tents with over 350 butterflies enjoying those hot August days. These tents and butterflies, provided by Virginia Master Naturalist Catherine Short, will provide a wonderful opportunity for families to see hundreds of native butterflies up close. Besides enjoying the wonder of these beautiful butterflies, kids of all ages will enjoy our sessions on butterfly crafts. In addition, educational programs for families, children, and adults will be offered throughout the two days. Admission is free but a donation to the Williamsburg Botanical Garden at Freedom Park will help the Garden grow.
