Rachel Becker, Philanthropy Chair of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at the College of William and Mary, recently presented a check in the amount of $6,700 to Fred Konta and the Board of Directors of Colonial CASA. The sorority organized on-campus events "Dodge-Ball for Theta" and "Dunk-A-Theta" during the school year, along with an evening at Blaze Pizza in New Town, to raise funds for the local CASA program. For more than 25 years, the national philanthropy of Kappa Alpha Theta has been Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs); and the William and Mary chapter has shown exceptional commitment to Colonial CASA. Colonial CASA has provided trained volunteers to advocate for children who are victims of abuse or neglect since 1995 in Williamsburg, James City County, York County and Poquoson.
