THIRD ANNUAL BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL IN WILLIAMSBURG BOTANICAL GARDEN

It is with great excitement that Williamsburg Botanical Garden offers to our community the third annual Butterfly Festival at the Williamsburg Botanical Gardens at Freedom Park on August 5th and 6th, from 9:00-5:00 each day. Funding for this program has been made possible through the generous support of the Green Spring Garden Club Inc. This festival has several parts, but the main and most exciting focus will be two butterfly tents with hundreds of butterflies enjoying those hot August days. These tents and butterflies, provided by Virginia Master Naturalist Catherine Short, will offer a wonderful opportunity for both children and adults to see hundreds of native butterflies close up. To educate and entertain the whole family, there will also be children's crafts and educational programs for all ages of butterfly enthusiasts throughout the two days. Speakers' topics will include raising Monarchs, , butterflies and plants they need, and other interesting topics. Admission is free but a $5 donation to the Williamsburg Botanical Garden at Freedom Park to help the garden grow would be appreciated. Please come join us as we celebrate summer and our beautiful native butterflies on Saturday and Sunday, August 5 and 6th.
