This Sunday, the Williamsburg Unitarian Universalists congregation will host guest speaker Ben Thacker-Gwaltney, who considers that one way to explain Buddhism is as a set of practices designed to train the mind for awakening. His topic, "Cultivate and Abandon", will suggest that this work sometimes feels a great deal like preparing a garden for spring. There are things that are useful to cultivate, and other things that it makes more sense to remove. Services at 9:45 and 11:15 a.m. All are welcome.
