On August 20, the Rev. Laura Horton-Ludwig was welcomed enthusiastically as she led her inaugural service of her ministry for the Williamsburg Unitarian Universalists congregation. Her tenure as a settled minister follows the interim ministry of Rev. David Johnson, who served for two years until a congregational search culminated in the call to Rev. Horton-Ludwig. She received her master's degree in divinity from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago and was ordained in 2005. She has served congregations in California, Illinois, Wisconsin and, most recently, the UU Congregation of Fairfax. The WUU congregation looks forward to starting an active church year in its recently expanded facilities, with Rev. Horton-Ludwig in the pulpit.
