Veterans Day Ceremony at Governor's Palace Revolutionary War Cemetary

The Williamsburg Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) with the support of Colonial Williamsburg will observe Veterans Day by conducting a Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Governor's Palace Revolutionary War Cemetery will begin at 11:00 am on November 11, 2017 and admission is free.

This year, we will emphasize and honor our French Allies during the American Revolution. Marquis de Lafayette (portrayed by Mark Schneider, CW).

"Forgotten Patriots" of the Revolutionary War include women and African Americans who fought for both the British and the Patriots. In addition, we want to recognize special wartime veterans such as Major General (U.S.Army, ret.) Craig Boice who is indeed a patriot. His strong patriotism is evident in his Viet Nam war experiences and his long military service to our country.

A procession of Revolutionary War flags will be carried by Boy Scouts of Troop 1932, 76th Regiment of Foote, and the Rhode Island African-American Regiment.
