Virginia Credit Union sponsors Half-Century Ride at Cap2Cap

(Richmond, VA, April 25, 2016) - Virginia Credit Union is the official Half-Century (50-mile) sponsor for the 2016 VCU Health Cap2Cap event on May 14.

Supporting the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation, the VCU Health Cap2Cap is an annual event where 2,500 bicyclists of all ages and abilities register to participate in rides covering four different lengths between Richmond and Williamsburg.

Segments of the 100-mile, 50-mile, 25-mile and 15-mile routes take place on country roads and the newly completed Virginia Capital Trail. Each ride begins at historic Charles City Courthouse where a community celebration featuring great food, live music and entertainment for participants and spectators will take place from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.

The Virginia Capital Trail Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a mission to enhance, promote, manage and advocate for the continued development of the Virginia Capital Trail, the 52-mile dedicated multi-use trail connecting Richmond and Williamsburg. The Virginia Capital Trail runs alongside Virginia's historic and beautiful Route 5.
