VSO Resident Conductor is Guest of the VSSGW

.Virginia Symphony Orchestra Resident Conductor Benjamin Rous was the guest artist at the Virginia Symphony Society of Williamsburg's autumn social held at the home of Martha Jean and Gerald Howell. In addition to holding a doctorate in conducting, he is also an accomplished instrumentalist on violin, viola, and keyboard instruments. Before performing a violin solo, he briefly described and demonstrated what the audience should listen for. Following his performance he answered audience questions about the music, and about his own development as a musician and conductor.
The VSSGW holds several events for its members throughout the year. It also holds an annual fund-raising gala, which is open to the public, to benefit the Symphony.
