VSSGW Gala supports the Virginia Symphony

Each spring the Virginia Symphony Society of Greater Williamsburg holds a gala at the Two Rivers Country Club, the proceeds of which benefit the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. The Virginia Symphony brings its music to the greater Williamsburg/James City County area by performing four subscription concerts and a free concert. The latter performance is held at the amphitheater at Lake Matoaka in early September. It provides the opportunity for local residents and visitors to sample the sound of this outstanding orchestra. The proceeds of the benefit gala also fund music education in the local schools through master classes for students, and professional development for music teachers.
