The Wilbert M. Wallace Scholarship Foundation is accepting applications for its 2016 scholarships, open to eligible 2016 high school graduates in York and James City counties and the City of Williamsburg. Basic qualification requirements are: financial need, grade point average of at least a "C", involvement in community, church and school activities, and plans to attend a two- or four-year college. Scholarship deadline is March 31. The late Wilbert M. Wallace was an instructor and administrator in the York Schools division for more than 30 years. The scholarship foundation was established in 1990 by one of Wallace's former students, the late Curtis L. Taylor. The foundation will celebrate is 26th anniversary in October.
