Walnut Hills Baptist February Mission Emphasis

"Women on Mission" groups at Walnut Hills Baptist Church, 1014 Jamestown Road, will focus on missions in February. The Feb. 12, 10:30 a.m. worship service will be led by women of the church. Dr. Valerie Carter, Executive Director of WMU Virginia, will speak on the topic, "By All Means" with her text taken from 1 Corinthians 9.
All mission groups will host their meetings on Tues., Feb. 14. Missions supported by Women on Mission include Avalon, Latisha's House, FISH, Grove Outreach, Norge Outreach, J-1 students, Sentara Hospice Care, Stop Hunger Now, William and Mary Collegiate ministry and others.
Acteens are collecting gently used coats to be given to FISH and Grove Outreach Center. GA's (grades 1-6) are packing "blessings bags" with toiletries, a hat and gloves to be distributed at the Community of Faith winter shelter, housed at WHBC the week of Feb. 12. Children are invited to participate in a Children's Mission Day on Feb. 18 at 10 in the church's Hospitality Center.
