On March 1st, Warhill High School visited the U.S. Senate to participate in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student Fair. At the fair, Senator Tim Kaine spoke to students about their coursework and the impact CTE has had on their education and career paths. Senator Kaine co-founded the CTE Caucus in the Senate so students and teachers from schools like Warhill High School can showcase the project-based learning opportunities offered at their schools, which helps schools across the country replicate successful programs. As the son of a welder, Senator Kaine has been a lifelong supporter of career and technical education as a tool to prepare students for success in the workforce.
