Warm Up Wiiliamsburg to benefit homeless shelter

Warm Up Williamsburg, a soup tasting event to benefit the Community of Faith Mission, will take place on Friday, January 29 at Williamsburg United Methodist Church from 5:30-8:00 pm.

The Community of Faith Mission (COFM) consists of 32 faith based groups that work together to sponsor the winter emergency homeless shelter for 18 weeks a year. In 2014-2015 109 individuals were assisted, many staying for weeks at a time. The seasonal nature of the employment in our area increases the economic vulnerability for many during the winter months.

Warm Up Williamsburg features delicious soups donated by 15 local chefs as well as live entertainment provided by the JNM Band and DoubleTake A Cappella and a Bake Shop. Tickets are $20 and can be obtained through COFM.info or calling 230-0484.
