Waters Edge Church Donates to Regional Jail

Waters Edge Church has 4 locations across the peninsula but this week they are serving their community as one big church during their LOVE WEEK. Love Week is in its 6th year and it's a time the church designates and focuses on showing love to people and organizations around them by serving them!

Hundreds of volunteers are helping on 194 projects effecting dozens of service organizations, schools and local and global initiatives. Twenty-five volunteers from Waters Edge gathered together to assemble 550 hygiene kits for the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail. They also huddled together and prayed over those that will receive the kits and use them daily.

Regional Jail inmates and detainees received the donated hygiene kits on July 29, 2016. Several volunteers from the Church and the Jail's Chaplain teamed up to pass out the kits. This event put smiles on a lot of face. These kits mean so much too so many! Thanks again Waters Edge Church for taking time to give back!
