WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Harold Philipsen is celebrating his 10th anniversary with Northwestern Mutual this month. A wealth management advisor, Philipsen joined Northwestern Mutual in March, 2006, as a financial representative. He is part of a network of specialists offering both fee-based and non fee-based financial planning services, in addition to a wide array of products, expert guidance and innovative solutions to each client's needs and goals.
Philipsen earned his bachlor's degree in International Busiess from the Amsterdam School of Business in 1997. Since joining Northwestern Mutual, Philipsen has earned numerous industry credentials in wealth management and financial planning. He earned his certification in Long-Term Care in 2007 from the Corporation for Long-Term Care Certification. He went on to become a charted life underwriter in 2009 and a chartered financial consultant in 2010. Philipsen became a certified financial planner in 2012. Most recently, he became a retirement income certified financial planner in 2015.
A native of the Netherlands, Philipsen currently lives with his wife and business partner, Tracy Shackleford, and their sons in Williamsburg. He is an active board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Virginia Peninsula, Eco Discovery Park, Virginia Peninsula Estate Planning Council and The Williamsburg Winery.
