Williamsburg Area Bicyclists and Friends Explore Charles City County's Country Roads

On Saturday, November 18th, Williamsburg Area Bicyclists (WAB) joined forces with Richmond Area Bicycling Association to bring a special ride to the community. Over 30 cyclists came together to ride a scenic Charles City route created by Deb Young, founder of Road-Tested Bike Tours LLC. Both Deb and WAB Ride Leader, Rick Nevins, guided the cyclists on the Virginia Capital Trail and throughout Charles City County's country roads. They passed by the Charles City Courthouse, Chickahominy Tribal Center, Salem Cemetery, Harrison Lake, the site of the first English Thanksgiving, and several historic plantations along the James River. Afterwards, many stayed to enjoy lunch at the recently opened Indian Fields Tavern. For more information on current weekly rides and unique ride opportunities such as this one, please visit the Ride Calendar on the Williamsburg Area Bicyclists' webpage, www.wabonline.org
