Williamsburg Area Bike Rodeos Saturday May 20

As part of May is Bike Month, BikeWalk Williamsburg and the City of Williamsburg are sponsoring a Bike Rodeo for grades K-5th, Saturday May 20 from 9am-11am at the rear parking lot of Quarterpath Recreation Center. City of Williamsburg police officers will be present to assist with the Rodeo.
• Bicycles will get a safety and mechanical checkup
• Bicycles and helmets will be fitted to the rider (helmets will be available for free for those who do not already have one)
• Riders will learn basic bicycle handling skills and how to be seen and in control when riding
• Riders will learn basic safety techniques
Pre-registration is not required, but each rider needs to have a parent or guardian present to participate.
There will be drawings for two Busch Gardens admission tickets and a new bicycle at this event

Note: This Rodeo is geared to students of James River, Matthew Whaley, Rawls Byrd and Clara Byrd Baker Elementary Schools. Another Bike Rodeo is being offered in parallel (same day and times) at Toano Elementary School focused on Mataoka, Norge, Stonehouse, J. Blaine Blayton and DJ Monague Elementary Schools.
