The Winners of the 2016 C-SPAN StudentCam competition were named March 9, 2016 at 8:30AM live on C-SPAN. In a record year of submissions (over 2800 schools submitted entries), WCA placed in one of the top 150 submissions with their awarding of Honorable Mention.
In the C-SPAN Studentcam competition, students nationally in grades 6-12 were asked to create a short (5-7 minute) video documentary on a topic related to the 2016 competition theme, "Road to the White House", and the issue they most want the candidates to discuss during the 2016 presidential campaign.
With cash prizes totaling $100,000, C-SPAN awards prizes to 150 student documentaries, and 53 teacher advisers.
WCA's student video documentary challenges presidential candidates of the 2016 presidential election to discuss or take a stance on allowing terminally ill patients to live or die at their will.
